Following a two-goal performance, Arizona Coyotes right wing Nick Schmaltz spoke to the media about taking a penalty shot, how it feels to play two games in 24 hours, his thoughts on how the season has gone so far and more after a 3-2 ‘Yotes win over the Montreal Canadiens on Nov. 2 at Mullett Arena.
With two tallies, Schmaltz would become the Coyotes leader in points with 10 after having 4 goals and 6 assists in 10 games this season.
When reflecting on close games, Schmaltz stated that he wants to make an impact whenever he can.
“We’re in every game and we’re right there,” Schmaltz said. “You want to step up and be that guy that can make the play when it matters the most.”
